The sight looks quite good and as much as I was originally going to say OMG the music on the site must go it actually grew on me as I was looking around.

Nice job.

www.capitalnightlife.com.au

Also a nice looking site too.

I used a WYSIWYG editor to do one for a friend of mine if you guys want to have a look

www.citysound.ie

Also I am in the middle of building my own but only have a holder page up for now but I am sure you will get the idea.

Any comments please let me know :)

The opening flash movie is nearly 2MB in size, there are still limited amounts of users who use a dial up connection and it would take them 5 minutes before they're able to get to the main content of your webpage. You should add a link to skip intro on the homepage for such users and also those who do not have the flash plugin; essentially this will create two sites, one for highspeed users (the flash based one) and one for everyone else, the normal html one you had up previously.

It may also be worth considering that you're using pictures for all your text content, onscreen readers (for the visually impaired) and search engines are unable to pick up this content so it may be worth changing it to text, especially for the html only site if you add that option.

I think it's possible to embed the facebook videos on your page as well (if you wish to).

I used Yahoo SiteBuilder for my site..I'm happy with it so far...who knows..I may try another one...but not at this moment....

Thanks guys for the input. Very good as usual

@Andrew - the flash movie is a little large but The site was made for my local market. The vast Majority of people in this area have either ADSL or CABLE. There are only small rural areas that only have dial up.

I thought about it but didn't care :P

thanks for the help guys!!

That song is By a Canadian Folk Band called THE IRISH ROVERS They were so popular in Canada they had a variety show in the mid 80's. That was their most well known song, it's still popular in Canada, People associate it with good times.WASN'T THAT A PARTY? was my closing song at the nightclub I used to work at , and people always raised a glass to it (as recently as 2007).

It's kinda like THE HOCKEY SONG - 'STOMPIN' TOM CONNERS it's a peice of Canadiana

Well if they are called the Irish Rovers how can that be bad

:)

I don;t know for sure. I was a kid when It aired, My dad hated the show - but liked the song. He would tune in for the Theme song (Wasn't that a party) Then change the station to the hockey game. LOL
