Tópico: Online Video Providers

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

I was trying to do a search for online music video providers, in particular the one that was mentioned here about a year ago and has recently began offering videos. I can't remember the name/url of the site. I tired doing a search, but the new search feature is...well, let's just say not producing good results.

A little help jogging my memory?

I use www.venuevj.com

Brian this has been asked several times now. Have you tried the search feature of this site?

Yes, I kinda mentioned that in my initial post...

Thank you sb...

I've tried 8thwonder. It's ok, but can't find "Pittbull f. Young Boss - Go Girl" as well as many others.

I'll try the other one you mentioned, thanks.

"Go Girl" was released on Promoonly back in January 2008 and is available.

I joined 8th Wonder and I'm still a member but I can't honestly say I have used anything that I've downloaded because most of what they offer has already been covered by Promo Only with far better video quality. That being said it's still bargain for the price.
As for venuevj.com as soon as they drop the DRM I'll sign up but NOT before.

What people use probably has a lot to with their budget constraints but at the "end of the day" Promo Only has no real competition in the video market, hopefully some day they will.

That's right, forgot about venue's DRM!

I used to be a PO customer, then switched to JonesTM because I felt like I was missing hits. I just switched again to Top Hits. We'll see how they do...

Still looking for those that slip through the cracks though.

Not sure what kind of music you spin, but http://www.smashvidz.com/ has a descent selection of pop and hip-hop, but that's about it. Works for me to catch... as you said... the one's that slip through the cracks. A couple weeks ago, I picked up some BB Top 50 hits that PO hadn't released at the time.

As for Venue VJ, I made the mistake of signing up for that service. Gave it a go for a couple months and it didn't have anything that I would play that I didn't all ready have. A warning for all of you considering giving this service a try. I've sent them a couple emails trying to cancel my subscription, and they still haven't replied (it's been 10 days since I sent the 1st email). They were very quick to take my money when I signed up though. That only took about 30 minutes.

Would it be bad if I said "Venue VJ" was a long awaited colossal disappointment for 2008?

Not sure if it's bad to say it, but it was a disappointment for me. I had the service for 3 months and only downloaded 1 video. The only reason I got that one was to see if it worked. Never did get around to trying to play it. Then there's the fact that all the ambient and shadow stuff is an additional fee. I think you have to pay for the karaoke songs separately, too. Hmm, now that I think about it, it wasn't bad to say, hehe.

lets just hope by the time it gets to europe all the niggles are worked out of the system...

Tayla..... it's 2:25 in the morning here in the land of "Disney World" and it's morning in the UK.

Don't expect me to know what a "niggle" is this time of night.

I thought that was some kind of crazy, made up, UK slang. Looked it up, and without a doubt, Venue VJ has niggles. Also realized I need to expand my vocabulary to keep up in this place.

sorry renee, i keep my niggle to myself from now on...

jeez, has he been having sex with all the fellas in his family.... down by the bayou
