If i use this usb soundcard or in any case any other usb card and feed the outputs into an external mixer....will i still be able to record my sessions via VDJ or will i have to do it some other way??

You have record option inside VDJ that can record your mix with any sound card.

I have this setup with an external mixer controlling vdj, butv it seems when I switch to the external mixer the program will work fine. Except when I record and listen to the recording after you can here the songs being mixed in the headphones, but when your actually recording everything sounds fine?
