Hey Folks,
I'm looking for a dependable software for DJing. I've been using CD's for years and am finally moving to the software based DJing. I see that the virtualdj (Pro?) has most of the features I'm looking for in a "player"
I love my Numark CDN-88 dual CD player but feel I need to catch up with the times
Now, my question is if this software will meet my needs:
-- running a new Toshiba laptop with Vista Premium, Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 2 gig RAM, 220 gig internal hard drive.
-- I need the player to auto-run a playlist continuously so I can be out with the crowd leading tem in a dance or two, etc.
-- I think i read that it will auto mix (segue blend) the tracks?
-- With this software, what else will I need if I want to run the player 1 & 2 seperately to my mixer's input 1 & 2?
-- I do like to get a bit aggressive with my digital effects when the party gets jumping
-- I'm also planning on getting into the karaoke service, and I see this software mixes the videos. What about microphone inputs and echo/reverb/chorus effects?
Finally, I don't see anywhere on this site where I can download a copy of the Virtual Dj manual.

Randy,
Virtual DJ (Pro) does all the things you need it to do and more.
You will need an external 4in 4out soundcard such as the Maya44 usb or you can get a controller like the Hercules RMX that has the soundcard built in. With the Hercules, you can hook up your C.D. decks and play as usual or with the Maya44 usb, you can hook your C.D. decks up to any mixer.
The manual is in the Wiki. Just go to the community section, click on wiki and the manuals will be there.
Good luck and if you choose to download VDJ, I'm sure you'll love it
