Hi guys,
I'm putting together a MIDI map to use the SCS.3d (DaScratch) with VDJ and I've run into a bit of a puzzle. I would like to map a MIDI note message to trigger the "Reduce Loop Length" and "Raise Loop Length" functions in the GUI. Unfortunately, I don't see any option for that in the loop messages. The use would be to allow a DJ to toggle between all of the loop values, then use a separate button to turn a loop on and off. So when loop is active, these buttons would change the length of the active loop, and when the loop is off, they would move between loop values WITHOUT turning looping on.
I originally assumed that the Loop Length message would work like the LOOP message, and I would be able to define loop lengths using the same values (25 for quarter, 125 for 8th, etc), but that was a big no. It looks like values in the LOOP LENGTH message are samples. I also see that I could map a rotary encoder to do what I want.
Am I missing something obvious here?
Thanks in advance for your input.
