yes you have to download it,you dont need a controller but it would be better and easier with a controler..well i havent tried it yet so i dnt know...you can beat match with it too..you can scratch if you have turntables and a sound card for timecode solutions..or if you have a mixer with jog wheels that you can scratch..

I recomend you to buy a controller like some from hercules and you will have the "home edition" bundle with the controller.
Later you can upgrade to PRO if you want with a discount.
Wellcome to this comunity.

I agree with xonor. For about $350.00 I got the Hercules Rmx controller and it came with the basic edition of vdj. Like xonor said, if the basic edition later on becomes unsuitable for your needs, you can then upgrade to pro for half the cost.

even if you cant afford the remix the Hercules DJ Control MP3 (about 60 british pounds) has the software bundled with it and is the cheapest controller.

RMX is way better class controller than MP3 one ;)

agree with that 100%

i agree it is 100 times better but it all boils down to money if you are in a position not to worry about it then ok! but ive never had a lot of money and it was the only thing i could afford at the time. my advice, buy the best thing you can in your price range!
