Pioneer - DDJ-800

Controller Settings & Options


Pioneer DDJ-800 offers a variety of settings and options regarding it's operation.
You can change these settings by using a special PAD Page named "DDJ-800 Settings". You can access this pad page via VirtualDJ GUI, or by holding down the HOTCUE pad mode button for more than one second.
Please note that this pad page is accessible only when DDJ-800 is connected to VirtualDJ. Use the PAGE/PARAMETERS buttons to cycle through the available pages.

LCD Brightness



Press one of the first 5 pads to adjust the brightness of the on jog LCD display.
Press one of the pads 6 through 8 to adjust the brightness of the Beat FX screen display.

LCD Options



Press the 1st pad to toggle Cover art display on/off
Press the 2nd pad to toggle "Cue Scope" display on/off
Press the 3rd pad to toggle the displayed time between elapsed and remain time modes
Press the 4th pad to toggle the track end warning on/off (when track end warning is active the background of the LCD screen will blink on the last 30 seconds of the track)
Press the 5th pad to toggle the default mode of the LCD screen between Cover Art and Info Mode. Please note that at any time you can double click the SHIFT button to toggle the LCD screen temporarily* between Cover Art and Info Mode.
* Every time you load a new track on a deck the LCD display will go back to the default mode.

Master Options



Press one of the first 3 pads to set the desired level attenuation for the Master Output. Possible values are 0, -6 and -12db
Press the 4th pad to toggle the Master Output between Stereo and Mono output modes.
Press the 5th pad to toggle a limiter for the MIC level sent to Master Output on/off
Press the 6th pad to toggle a peak limiter for the Master Output on/off
Press the 7th pad to mute the Master Output on/off

Booth Options



Press one of the first 3 pads to set the desired level attenuation for the Booth Output. Possible values are 0, -6 and -12db
Press the 4th pad to toggle the Booth Output between Stereo and Mono output modes.
Press the 5th pad to toggle a limiter for the MIC level sent to Booth Output on/off
Press the 6th pad to toggle whether the MIC will be sent to Booth Output or not.

Demo Mode



Press one of the first 3 pads to set the desired time after which the unit will enter "Demo Mode" if no activity is detected.
Press the 4th pad to set the "Demo Mode" to screensaver mode.
Press the 5th pad to turn off "Demo Mode" completely
Press the 6th pad to toggle the Auto Standby feature of the device on/off.

Miscellaneous



Press the 1st pad to toggle Slip Mode flashing on/off. When Slip Mode flashing is on each time slip mode is activated the controls that are affected by slip mode (loops, hotcues e.t.c.) will flash.
Press the 2nd pad to toggle Slip Button flashing on/off. When Slip Button flashing is on the slip button will flash each time the deck is slipping.
Press the 3rd pad to toggle the unit's fader start actions on/off.
Press the 4th pad to toggle DDJ-800 mixer between dual and 4 decks mode. When dual mode is active mixer controls for decks 1 & 3 and mixer controls for decks 2 & 4 are linked.
Press the 5th pad to toggle MIC mode between software or hardware. Software mode means that the mic inputs are routed to VirtualDJ and you can use them for broadcasting or to record them on your mix. Hardware mode means less latency.
Press the 6th pad to toggle a Low Cut EQ on the MIC inputs
