I started getting into music at around the age of 7 or 8, and at that time, my family bought me the music I liked.
At the age of 18, I got my first set of second-hand twin CD players, and a year or so later, I added turntables to my setup. I replaced my twin CD players after a year or so when they packed up. I still have my original DJ gear going strong all these years later and have now added a modern all-digital setup of Denon CDJs along with Virtual DJ software. My love of music has never died, and these days I'd much rather have the stereo blasting than the tv on!
I never really focused much in my younger years in getting into the DJ scene, although I'm sure I would have loved doing it. These days it's just for fun.
