Do you intend to use the scratch button to enable vinyl (scratch) mode as well, or only as a shift key? I think I have an idea of what you would like to do, but I'll wait for your response so that I can get it to do what you want.

Vritual DJ 6.0.1 is simply the best product out there for DJ's in my opinion. I have only used approximatily 20% of this powerful software. I will use one word to describe this great product, "AWSOME" I love the video features, that can and do the same that more expensive hardware does. With Vritual DJ 6.0.1 you get more bang for the buck. I would recommend this software to anyone, or to any DJ, or Night Club. Thank you Atomix.

Did you mean the "PFL" button? If so, the actions below will be a little different...but try this first.
Okay, for the SCRATCH button in the mapper (if that's what you'll use), just enter "set $shift while_pressed" (no quotes) for the action, to use it as a shift button only, and DELETE THE OTHER ACTIONS. This means that, while you HOLD DOWN the scratch button, you will have the actions on the EQ kill buttons, like you wanted. Also, you must set the mapper for the kill buttons for this to work - this way, your kill buttons will still work when you are not holding the scratch button ;) :
EQ_KILL_HIGH: $shift ? delete_cue 1 : eq_kill_high
EQ_KILL_MID: $shift ? delete_cue 2 : eq_kill_mid
EQ_KILL_LOW: $shift ? delete_cue 3 : eq_kill_low
Hope this helps in your mapquest (pun intended, lol).

Had the same thing happen to me. Think it was my video card. did the same thing when i went back to 5.1..
but didn't crash as much. (one two time). Deleted and reinstalled my video card software, updated it, now it works perfect. I love 6.1,but
still to many problems. Do i have to delete database from 5.1, cause now backspin & other effect will engage on it's own from the at the same last spot i did it on some songs. 6.1 is stronger better in most ways if i didn't do video i would work with it, but make to much money with videos now.

im runing into something like it to. i get my tc set up an i tweek one of the knobs on my hercules rmx and my sound distorded and the tc
track gets alll jumpy. if theres a way i can go back to the old version where u can automaticly set up the tc that be greate
its taking me too much time to set up over and over.

This is my personal opinion:
VDJ 6.0.1 has a few bugs which should have been fixed before realising the version 6.
I think this version is untimely to become a final release..maybe it's only a RC1 yet.

Hi, I've been using Numark Virtual Vinyl since January 2009, but I am slightly confused as to what the differences are between:
-Virtual Vinyl (What I am currently using using)
-Cue
-Virtual DJ
I have the trial version of Virtual DJ 6, and I am able to use the Numark Virtual Vinyl interface with the time codes as I do with Version 5 of VV. Apart from the obvious update from Version 5 to V6, I can't tell any difference between the 3 pieces of software. If this is the case, why do I have to pay to 'Upgrade' to what is essentially the same software, all be it an updated version, which as I understand will follow in both VV and Cue anyway? Or am I missing something obvious?

Apologies, I found out! :) I Think I might be making the upgrade for Version 6, plus I just heard that I club I play at are fitting an SL1 or SL3, so I can use that there! :)

Does anyone know how to run the MEP 7000 CD Disk while using VDJ 6? when I try to place a CD inside the MEP, it does not play through the computer. I tested Serato and it had a buttom named "Thru" and when clicking on it, it allowed the MEP music to play through the computer. With VDJ 6. I dont seem to be able to do that. Any suggestions?

Hi I recently upgraded to V6.01 from last version of 5. I did not uninstall 5 first. I am using a Sony Vaio Intel Core 2 Duo T5450 processor clocked at 1.67 GHz and 3 GB of RAM, NVIDIA® GeForce® 8400M GT GPU, Windows Vista home premium edition. I like the new features in six but when I load tracks I find sometimes the wave reader freezes for a second also when I adjust the windows on the VDJ skin it freezes momentarily. The cpu useage seems way higher also.

I do have one questions
I use the Hercules Rmx skin.. after upgrading to the new version, all the 6+6 buttons are blank.. there is no loop in, or loop out function available from the drop down menu... although button 1 and 4 do function as loop in- loop out.. the buttons don't liht up in the skin.
Just thought if someone else had this issue..
