update: i thought i solved the problem by adjusting my latency within the asio for the korg to a higher # but then after a few tracks at the club i noticed the tiny clicks again. it sucks cause once i start playing live i can not just change the latency it cuts out the sound and i have to re-activate timecode in CUE for it to come back. can anyone give some light on this?

This may or may not apply to you but the fact is most PC firewire chips work only half OK with audio interfaces if its not made by Texas Instruments. Please check the brand of your firewire chip. Also try connecting firewire hard drive and do a speed test with HDtune. See if you get full speed through your firewire connection. If the speed is lower compared to USB drives then its a problem. It must be around 60 MB/s. Maybe drivers need to be updated? Also check if you can change any settings for you Korg. Does it come with some kind of control panel software? Maybe you will find the right settings.

downloaded and ran hdtune. everything checks out. i guess more playing with settings.
