I got mine 2 weeks ago and I have no regrets what so ever been mapping djdad's mapper a bit different and it's perfect for every think I need to do. The sound output might be a little low but I have studio monitors with build in amp and at the clubs I hook it up to their amp so no problem.
 
i honestly have to say i love my vms4 and the only problems ive had so far are from user error as i am new to the digital djing thing
 
i only have 2 questions for the VMS4.

1)is the VMS4 compatible with windows 7?
2)will the low output volume be an issue for me as i dont do gigs (im just a at home user)?

Yes it runs fine in windows 7 and there is no problem running it as a home user as the low output volume is really no issue at all just is not as loud as many other equipment that some are used to.
 
FINAL CONLCUSION:

DON'T BUY THAT VERSION! WAIT FOR VMS4 TRAKTOR EDITION!

in reference to the above statement, it appears the VMS4 traktor edition doenst have the same issues/faluts as the VMS4 VDJ edition. that being said, i assume i can buy the vms4 traktor edition and still map it running VDJ pro7? if not, i guess i can live with the VMS4 VDJ edition.
 
KINDLY SUGGEST ME TURNTABLES

Hey, I just picked up the American Audio VMS4 and realized that the mixer (or midi controller) wont really do my job for scratching.
I was planning on picking up turntables. Though not too expensive.
Also i was wondering whether I'd have to end up buying vinyl cd's too because I live in India and its not like they're available that easy. I'd probably have to order em online. I was also wondering whether there are any turntables out there that'll connect up to my laptop or mixer (via usb) and convert my mp3's into vinyl so i wouldnt have to buy the vinyl discs. would i be able to get the same scratch quality? I have alot of questions as i'm new to this. please help me out.
Oh and Shipping will also end up costing me a bomb so not too high a budget for TT's.

I think that you should email American audio and ask for Asian Distributors. You could also search the net for e-sellers.

hey genius,

nobody is selling. i'm simply asking what the forum users THINK about this offer. and thus far, no response. vms4 traktor isn't supposed to be out for a while, and already amazon is selling it. don't YOU think there is something interesting going on here?
