There was (under win 7) a prob if you have 2 versions on the same computer, but could not find out in the moment;
guess it was on the german forum...

Sorry to say, but I got a Mac-book and run win 7 on it (bootcamp), because lot of effects are just for win..

If I found something, I'll be back ;o)

maybe you should ask for advice with a ticket (support/help) is a better option...
 
Got contact to a friend;

he said, there is no prob if you have the LE and the pro on the same computer.
 
well,

if it is possible, you should go tommorow in the live-support and ask for armin_mc.
He's got a mac and owns the vci400. Hope he will have a solution...
If your problem is fixed, it would be nice to report the solution right here.

THANKS FOR ALL YOUR EFFORT !
Still no fix yet, its rather weird that it works just as it should in the le vdj
I will mess around with it tonight and see what i can come up with
IF I have no luck i will hit up live-support and ask for your friend

OK im back at it and still no fix.
Any one else having problems with the browser knob and the 4 vid buttons on the vci400

The knob and buttons in the middle won't work in VirtualDJ v7.0.5b Pro because changes were made to the VCI-400 firmware after this version was released.


I have done this but when i open the vci400.xml its blank
I also get a error page when i open the virtual dj datebase v6.xml [error on line 9 colum1: extra content at the end of the document]
would that be part of the problem?
 
Don't open the files. Copy them to the correct locations as directed on the above page.

You should copy the definition file to VirtualDJ\Devices and the mapper file in VirtualDJ\Mappers

The VirtualDJ home folder will either be in /users/YOURNAME/Library/VirtualDJ or /users/YOURNAME/Documents/VirtualDJ if you have used older versions of the software prior to v7.0.3. Make sure that you put the definition and mapper into the correct location. If you can find or see the Library folder, please see: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/MAC.%20Reveal%20hidden%20Library%20folder.html

If you are trying to open the VirtualDJ database from another application then you probably will get an error because it is not strict XML. This doesn't matter provided that VirtualDJ starts OK and does not give you any error messages. If it gives an error, please see: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/I%20get%20an%20error%20message%20saying%20that%20my%20database%20is%20corrupted.html
 
When i say i opened the files i openen them after i installed them in the folders.
I simply clicked on the .xml icons within the folders in my vdj/doc. folder

If it's a newer installation of VirtualDJ (You have never had a version earlier than v7.0.3 installed) then they need to be in /users/YOURNAME/Library/VirtualDJ. Try copying them to this folder if it exists.

Otherwise, we'd suggest contacting support via live chat so that the problem can be looked at directly (You can allow support staff to connect to your computer remotely.)
 
i see only one problem vci 400. when active deck c or d in back panel for external line this not sound. only sound in direct master mode.! big problem for my i use a external sampler in my old denon 6000 i put for a line and controler in fader c or d, in vci 400 no idea what configure this, only sound direct to master with control volumen back panel.. but i need control in faders .!
