Has anyone mapped the 2 effects buttons above each channel ? I'd love to be a able to load 8 new samples in each button
 
i have a proplum with virtual dj shutting down when i use effects on my pioneer ddi sx any help please
 
also even when i start up vj it shuts down

I have the DDJ-SX and have no problems using it with VDJ.

Is VDJ not starting up even with the DDJ-SX disconnected from your computer?
 
yes it starts up but when you use the fx buttons it just shuts down and some times when it shuts down you start it back up and as soon as you touch any button it shuts down i have put new soft wear on but it just dose the same thing all the time
 
yes when pioneer ddj is not on it works perfect i alsl have the vms 4.1 from adj and get no problums
 
I would suggest updating the firmware for the SX and use at least VDJ 7.4.

Are you using it on MAC or PC?

I am using a Mac and everything works fine.
 
useing a mc yes i'v updated firme wear but still dose it

If it only happens when you try to use FX, what FX do you have in VDJ? What FX are you trying to use?

Maybe that particular effect is incompatible in some way.

Does the DDJ-SX work OK when using Serato software?
 
 
Hi Groove, Yes, The DDJ-SX works perfect in Serato dj, all the sound effects, etc work without a single issue. In virtualdj if you play ANY sample, from the built in, to the on the fly created samples from a song, it will play it at 100% volume. Once you play it, it is normalized for only as long as you are playing the SAME track on that deck. Once you change music on the deck, the sample volume is reset to 100%. I do not use any samples when running my unit at a club.
 
 
The DDJ-SX is natively supported. There are settings and extra tools to get it working properly. The sample volume is tricky. As I used it more and more I am able to know what the loudest I can go is before it's ear bleeding loud.

I JUST BOUGHT THE PIONEER DDJ SX CONTROLLER CAME WITH SERATO , THE FACT IT DONT READ
WMA FILES SUCKS!!!! I HAD TO CONVERT HALF OF LIBRARY TO ITUNES IN ORDER TO PLAY .. TERRIBLE

SO I FIGURED , ILL USE VIRTUAL DJ 7 PRO WITH MY DDJ SX AND JUST LIKE COMMENTS MENTIONED ABOVE

4) DDJ-SX is one of the most popular controllers for VirtualDj right now and 100's of users (myself included) have it working flawlessly.

any chance you could go over how you have made the sampler deck playable w/ddj-sx.

Phantom - you mentioned that you and 100's of other users are using DDJ-SX with Virtual and it works " flawlessly " . I have the Denon MC6000 now and my unit is getting worn and needs replaced. I'm considering getting a DDJ-SX but i've never used a controller before that was built for another software. Is everything going to function properly with Virtual DJ or are there features on the controller that are not going to work at all or properly? I just want to make sure i don't get something i'm not happy with. I should also mention i'll be using this with a PC. Someone mentioned above that it seems PC's running the DDJ-SX and VDJ have issues. So do you use yours with PC or Mac? Thanks in advance for any advice/recommendations!
