Yeah Paz, I have had no complaints with VDJ. If any problems took place I could easily identify my mistakes (i.e. changing skins while playing, not grounding myself and static being an issue) and corrected. I have used it for up to eight hours without any problems at all. Good sound quality, reliable, stable. What more can I ask for?

Yo Terry, what static issues are you having? Tell me yours, and I''l tell you mine. Oh, by the way, no crying from me. The software works great for me.

Hi, I'm pretty happy with VDJ too.
Like somebody else said, I can make it crash if i crank it up to maximum sound quality, or if my external hard drive starts playing up. But when I'm at a gig, I just don't change any settings and it always does the trick!
With DMC2 and maya44 usb, it's all good here
:)

I was at a very posh country club with thick pile carpeting and kept shorting out when I would touch my coffin case. To resolve it I bought a static wrist strap like is used to work on PCs/circuit boards (6.00USD) and the problem has not returned. Like I said not a software issue at all.

Always works and has never crashed for me at a gig. Come to think of it, I can't remember the last time it crashed period.

Great software, great value for money. Excellent forum and help!
Most importantly (for me), it's paid for itself and earns me a living!
So 100% thumbs up from me. And the greatest respect for the developers and all forum members!

Hehe...Yeah. There's a lot of that going around, I think ;)
I guess I'm sort of a hybrid old-new school DJ (in that I've only ever used CDs, but sort of did things the hard way). When I started out, I was using combination karaoke and CD players and relying on knowing the music well enough to perform beat matching by hitting play/pause at just the right moment and throwing the track in before things got too out of whack, LOL. I didn't have dual CD decks with pitch-bending jog wheels and samplers and such. So you can imagine what a jump it was for me to go to VDJ!
I'm very satisfied with the software. It makes my job sooo much easier (especially given my roots in the biz), and it saves the back not carrying all those CDs and players around in the gig box anymore :D

As a former CD-DJ I made a stop-over to VDJ...
Since then I can only say: This is far the best software I ever used.... My combination with Hercules (it still works for me !!!) made me a better DJ !
Thanks to the dev team and community !

This software sucks. Oh wait, I thought this was the crying thread. This is the happy thread, which I also hate. The real deal is, it works great for me. I do club and mobile gigs, and take full responsibility for getting and keeping the party going. My performance is the same, the only difference is the content of my programming. I ask the same thing of this software, as I ask from my hardware, reliability. It delivers 5 days a week in a club, and all mobile gigs. If it did not perform as expected, I would get something else. I rock the party, not my equipment. I was a professional DJ before computers and software, and treat it as another piece of equipment. What VDJ allows me to do is carry around massive amounts of media, and take my performance to another level, Visual. It allows me to mix video as easily as audio. To be honest, I bought this software to compliment my PCDJ FX software. I started out running both, using VDJ just for video. That didn't last long. There are so many things I don't use, that I am some times embarrassed, that I don't know how to use them. On the other hand, there is so much that I can use. I was lucky, because my club has 10 27" monitors, 2 50" plasmas, and 3 10' screens. My mobile rig has 2 37" LCDs and a 10' screen. I worry about the software, the same as I worry about blowing a power amp or speaker, I don't. As for stability, that's just it, it's stable for me, and I do everything. I wonder sometimes, do they have the same software that I have? Yes they do, the only difference is the machine it's run on. So, it works extremely well for me.
