How did you fix it audio000?
Mensajes Tue 11 Nov 08 @ 9:28 am
Don't worry. I read in the manual that the crossfader in the mixer cannot be in audio and midi mode at the same time. That means you will never be able to cue channels properly and crossfade videos. They had to put this stupid kind of crap into the mixer or they wouldn't be called Behringer. At least I figured that out before spending money on this bullshit.

djfilosoff you are right bro , so what I did was only midi part of the mixer and it works find now.

Ok it looks like this is a sound card setup thing , I am still trying to find out
the answer to all this I will need some more time. After talking to M-Audio and
Behringer for the last two days. This is what we came up with. If the audio is down
in VDJ on side A there no audio to the sound card (so no sound to the mixer). I will
need more time more help with this one.

OK if you setup the sound card in VDJ to have channel 1 and 2 for output and channel 3 and 4 for headphones will
TCD or TCV work?

I've got the same problem, and Im trying to use it for video mixing. Very annoying not to be able to cue/pfl.
I've only got the crossfader midimapped and my temporarily quick solution is always to put the volume fader on the channel you wish to cue/pfl down, and crossfader to the middle, (also change the video transition if you're VJ). - Then use the mixer as you would not with midi regarding to headphones.
Very annoying to do this while video mixing, but in only audio mode, this mixer works brilliant for me.

hey is there any way someone could e-mail me the DDM-4000 mapping add-on. I want to see how virtual DJ works with my mixer before I buy it, and I can't download it from the site since I haven't bought anything yet.
Thanks,
Anyone's help would be appreciated.
God bless

I also have the ddm4000, i dont believe the mixer is crap, but they did screw up not mapping the midi interface correctly with the crossfader and the pfl the way i have to do it is by leaving the two channels where the TCV or TCCD are, in analog, as well as the crossfader. i dont use the crossfader, as i mix whith my EQ and volume faders. the rest of the mixer and channels are all midi mapped to VDJ, that way my pfls from my TCV or TCCD work. i had the same problem with Traktor, and the same fix applied. i really wish they might be able to fix this on a firmware update. that way you can map the entire mixer as midi, and control all the functions from VDJ from withing the mixer.

This is a known issue with this mixer.
All users who have this mixer are complaining this kind of problem.

Well...it kind of is a problem, and it is not a problem. The sound quality on that behringer is amazing....and in the long run, its only 400 bucks, compare that with the djm 800, and you can take your good and bad together, and still be out better. plus, it is not as if the mixer wont work, you have to use it in a hybrid mode, but hey, it works. the other thing is, i use it with my dj friend who uses serato, and i use vdj or traktor, well, i get to play with my midi settings, that are saved over different user profiles on the mixer, and we have a blast mixing together.
Cheers,

Hi I am currently using the trial version of virtual dj. I have two turntables with serato timecodes and a hercules rmx as soundcard and mixer. I was wondering if Id be able to use a behringer ddm4000 mixer with my set-up and use the hercules rmx as a soundcard. I would greatly appreciate a response as I am keen on buying virtual dj. I dont like serato, its annoying.

Rant...could you give a little more detail of how you want your setup.
I use a DDM4000, but I do not make any use of it's MIDI capabilities (as I personally think that it's a waste of time).
I do have a "How To"... http://www.virtualdj.com/forums/141403/Hardware_Technical_Support/Behringer_DD4000_Mixer_-_How_to___.html
This might help

I dont want the midi as i also think its a waste of time. I would just like to know if the mixer would work with the hercules rmx as a soundcard and my two turntables as two timecode inputs. I dont care about controlling virtual dj with the ddm4000 if that makes it clearer

Hi guys and girls,
Help for Dummie please
I just bought my Behringer DDM-4000 and want to use VirtualDJ on my MacBook Pro with it. I have version 7.0.4 running under Mac OS 10.8.3.
Now I have no clue about midi and read everything I could find but still no clue how to start. Is there anyone who can simply explain how to start, connect and test the midi and go on.
Hope someone can help me
thx
Rob

VirtualDJ v7.0.4 is an old and out of date version of the software. There have been many changes and improvements to the software since then (See http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/VirtualDJ_History.html ) - We are now on v7.4
You will need to purchase VirtualDJ Basic or the full Pro to use separate deck outputs to an external mixer. The full VirtualDJ Pro is required if you wish to be able to use the MIDI features of the mixer. Please see http://www.virtualdj.com/products/comparison.html
Please register your serial number on your profile page http://www.virtualdj.com/users/edit.html and then upgrade to the latest version: http://www.virtualdj.com/download/updates.html
If you have not purchased VirtualDJ then please support the software and its future development by purchasing it: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html (Especially if you are a working DJ and are making money as a result of using it at your gigs.)
